Brown County and Pleasant Hill met for the first time this season in the Spartan Classic.  With Pleasant Hill coming in at 2-1 and Brown County at 0-2, it would be hard to tell what to expect out of this game.  Well both teams would basically just trade buckets the entire 1st half and Brown County took a 29-22 lead at the half.  Then in the 2nd half, Brown County really found a grove and pulled away and Pleasant Hill just could not keep up.  The Hornets would pick up their first victory of the season 60-38.  Justin Volk would lead all scorers with 26 points tonight while Matt Gunterman was not far behind with 17.  Brown County did a much better job of limiting turnovers tonight and played with more composure than they have to date. The Wolves shot 36% from the field while Brown County was able to shoot 44% from the field.  Both team ended up shooting 50% from the free throw line this evening.  Brown County advances on to take on a very tough Routt squad in Wednesday night’s Semifinal contest.
