IHSA Class 1A Semifinals: Tuscola vs. Brown County

Posted: November 21, 2010 in Broadcast Recap, Football

What an amazing game yesterday. No doubt this game was won on defense and Tuscola was able to get the stop in OT when BC could not. Regardless of the score I saw two teams that have the highest respect for each other. On every play you saw each team helping the other team’s players get up and pats on the helmet all game long. Then add to this the amazing atmosphere created by all of the fans, minus the motorcycles and trucks, the fans were just electric for the entire game. For me it was amazing to see the support from students from the other WIVC and OVC schools at the game supporting their conference. That is a true testament to just how amazing both of our conferences really are. It was also amazing to be able to broadcast this game to all anyone that could not make it to BC and thanks to all of those of you that listened and sent in your feedback. And yes, we know for a fact that we had multiple people listening from their tree stands! I also got the chance to meet a lot of people from Tuscola and talk with them before and after the game and to me that is one of the most intriguing things about the playoffs, just meeting all of the fans. Hats off to BC and their fantastic season, these boys made doubters believers, I was one of them, and though they are done for the year their accomplishments will forever be remembered. And as far as Tuscola, go finish the job next week. I truly believe you saw a matchup between two of the best candidates for the 1A state title yesterday and for one week this year I will be pulling for you guys 100%!
